Terms
Last updated 22 August 2026
These terms cover the Daoclip application and daoclip.com. Plain language, and they mean what they say.
1. What you get
A licence to use Daoclip on one Mac at a time, for as long as your plan is active (Monthly, Yearly) or without expiry (Lifetime — a limited batch of 100 licences, withdrawn once the hundredth is issued; licences already issued keep every right described here). Every plan includes the complete application: all features, all export formats, no watermark, no export cap. You may move a licence to a different Mac — write to support and we reissue it.
2. Trial
The 7-day trial is the full application and requires no account or card. It is granted once per machine. When it ends, opening and exporting projects stop; saving never stops — an expired trial will not hold unsaved work hostage.
3. What you may not do
- Resell, sublicense or redistribute the application or a licence.
- Share one licence across several people or machines at once.
- Circumvent the licence check, or distribute tools that do.
- Use it to produce material that is illegal where you are.
Everything you create with Daoclip is yours. We claim no rights in your footage, projects or exports, and we do not use your work to train anything.
4. Third-party services
Daoclip can call outside services (voices, stock media, image and video models, agent CLIs) using your own credentials. Those services are governed by their own terms and bill you directly. We do not resell their credits, and we are not responsible for their output, availability, pricing or licence terms for generated material. When you import stock media, Daoclip writes an attributions file — complying with each provider’s licence remains your responsibility.
5. Updates and roadmap
Monthly and Yearly licences include updates while active. Lifetime includes all future updates to Daoclip. Statements about planned features are intentions, not promises: buy for what the app does today.
6. Refunds
Try the free trial first — that is what it is for. If you buy and it does not work for you, write within 14 days of purchase and we refund the purchase, no interrogation. Refunding a licence deactivates it.
7. Warranty and liability
Daoclip is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the software is limited to the amount you paid for it. Keep your own backups of your media — no editing application, ours included, is a backup strategy.
8. Termination
A subscription ends when you cancel or when payment fails; the licence stops working, your files remain yours and readable in Finder. We may terminate a licence for a breach of section 3, with a refund of any unused paid period.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; the date above changes and material changes are described here. Continued use after a change means acceptance. A change never converts an existing Lifetime licence into a subscription.
