# Daoclip

- Platform: macOS 14 (Sonoma) or newer, Apple silicon and Intel. macOS only today; a Windows version is in development, with no announced date. No Linux, iOS or web version.
- Built native: Swift, SwiftUI, AVFoundation. No Electron, no runtime to install.
- The AI part: Daoclip is an MCP server. You connect an agent CLI you already pay for — Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, or Google Antigravity — in Settings. There is no bundled model subscription and no per-seat AI fee.
- Agent safety: every agent edit is an undoable command (⌘Z), autosave keeps versions, generated media waits in an approval window, and nothing exports itself.
- On device, no upload: transcription, subject tracking, background cutout, stabilization, caption translation, and all rendering run on the Mac. Uploads happen only for a third-party service you deliberately invoke, with your own API key.
- Pricing: $9/month, $99/year, or $175 one-time lifetime — and the lifetime plan is capped at 100 licences ever. When the hundredth is claimed, lifetime is withdrawn and Daoclip becomes subscription-only; the hundred already issued stay lifetime with all future updates.
